This dress looks just like it did in the photos! It’s a little scratchy is you don’t make sure the fabric lays flat, but it has great stretchiness to it! This dress looks much more expensive than it is and it’s for sure an eye catcher!
This sequins dress looks amazing, but is quite fragile. Coming out of the package it already had a few sequins missing in spots. The dress does look good on though, and does hug your curves. The double lining keeps the dress comfortable. The adjustable straps keep the dress in place, and the invisible zipper helps prevent snags. I highly recommend hand washing this dress. This is great for a night out on the town or a holiday event. The only downside is how easily the sequins fall off.
It does look really nice when it's on, but I wouldn't say it's exactly as expected due to the fact that the reflective gold stick on squares can come off pretty easily if you're not careful so I would've preferred if there was a better adhesive used. That's really my only complaint, though. Other than that, I love how reflective it is and how unique the finish looks. It's much nicer than regular sequins in my opinion because the pieces have a more solid look to them, while still giving off this really nice rainbow like reflection when the light hits them. The sizing was accurate and it looks especially beautiful sitting over my curves, where the reflective effect really stands out.
The quality is really neat! I am honestly impressed by how well made the little mirror squares are. They're precisely cut and applied; nothing looks messy, uneven or randomly slapped onto the dress. Plus, the straps are adjustable, very important for shorter women! Or if you need to adjust depending on your bust size.The entire piece looks very clean and well executed and this makes the dress look much nicer, more polished when worn. Very happy (and impressed) with the quality!
The dress is cute and fits true to size, but it looks much cheaper in person than I expected for an $85 dress. As someone with sensory issues, the sequined design surprisingly doesn't feel unpleasant to touch, so that's a plus. The sequins are also on there pretty securely, and none have come off so far.However, the overall construction of this dress isn't as high-quality as I thought it would be. Aside from that, I don't like the straps. They're black and look like cheap bra straps, which really clashes with the gold sequined body of the dress. I think thicker straps in the same material as the dress or even clear straps would have made a huge difference.It's not a bad dress, but at the current price of $85, I don't think the value for money is there. I wouldn't but this with my own money.
This is a lovely dress and I really wish the Blue had been available when I ordered on Vine. That one is a strikingly beautiful shade. But Im grateful that the gold is also very striking and beautiful.This sort of makes you look like a living disco ball. It has the same play on light as a disco ball, but nicer due to the variations of colour with the undulating curves of your body.As for fit, I ordered an XL since Im always concerned with sequin dresses that it will be stitched tightly an not have stretch. However, I could have easily gone to a large. It is a bit loose on me. In very stretchy bodycon dresses I can go down to medium, but I think L would work better on this. For reference, I am normally a dress size 10 to 12 with 42D to DD cups. Currently I am carrying a bit too much weight so Im on the high end of my size range.My only concern with this dress is any sequin loss is painfully evident since there is a clear gap on the dress. It would be nice if they supplied some spare sequins to sew back into the gaps. Mine had already lost a sequin in shipment on the back and it's hard not to notice. With regular sequin dresses you can lose dozens of sequins and it will not be noticeable at all. The very structured geometric disco ball look of this one means it is very evident and they should provide spares.I am going to say 4.5 stars rounded up. Provide spare sequins and this is an easy 5 stars.
This dress is cute but the material of the sequins scratches and irritated my skin.
