I was expecting something much higher quality for the price, especially because the sequins being sewn on instead of glued on was a good sign. I'm comparing this to a red Azazie sequined dress (see comparison photos) , which looks much better than this and it comes down to the size of the sequins. This dress has very large sequins in comparison, while the Azazie dress has varying sizes scattered but all much smaller. The larger sequins gives an overall look of lesser quality.The fit isn't the best, I sized up because I didn't want anything skintight. Even still, the bottom hem of the skirt is mini-skirt tight but to the point where you can barely walk. I'm considering seeing a slit in the bottom because it's stranglingly tight, to the point where you better hope there are no stairs or you'll be bunny hopping your way up and down.I had high hopes for this, and it would be cute for a night out but not what I was expecting for the price. Looks and fits more like something for $5 off Shein.
This is a nice dress for a nice night out. The sequins give a beautiful sparkle without being too much and it has a fun dressy look. I love the V-neck because it is quite flattering my my cup, along with the spaghetti straps and the fitted style. It’s one of those dresses that instantly feels more special when you put it on. I can easily see wearing it for a party, cocktail night, or any occasion where you want a little extra sparkle. Overall, I think this is nice dress. It’s pretty, fun, sparkly, and fits me true to size. Okay, so full disclosure: I have been complaining a lot lately about my weight and the size of my stomach. I used to be super skinny and bodycon type dresses or something I always wanted to wear but because I've always had a small pooch on my belly, I've never ended up getting one. I'm much older now and have hit the point in life where I really don't care what people think, but I care what I think. That said,I got this dress to act as a motivator for getting in better shape by the holidays so that I could wear this and feel both attractive and proud. Having said all that, the dress is pretty close to what I was expecting. I did completely forget why I don't buy sequin anything anymore and that's because the sequins tend to not lay flat. I do not know how people manage to get them to stay down but I'm having the same issue with this as I have with things that I bought that have sequins in the past. Regardless, if you know of a way to get them to lay flat, this is a very cute dress. I got a large thinking that it would be way too small to even try to put on because it is a bodycon type dress. It is quite stretchy and well I don't care for the hugging around my stomach, as I said my intention is to lose weight, therefore the way this fits is better than what I expected. I suspect that someone with a flatter stomach is going to enjoy this dress very much. It's very stretchy and it doesn't feel extremely heavy. The bottom hem of the dress is stitched pretty tight so be cautious of that when walking. I suspect too long of a stride will result in a popped stitch at the bottom. Well I don't care for the way the sequins sit on my sides because they pop out and jab my arm, overall the dress is very cute, and the inside of the dress is a very nice soft fabric that is comfortable and stretchy. There is a zipper in the back which I didn't need to use to put on which was awesome. I think that this is priced pretty fairly for the price and overall dress design, but be advised that because the dress is more lightweight, this means that the sequins are also thinner which increases the probability that they can get bent. Overall you are definitely getting what you pay for and based on that, the quality is just fine given the price of around a fifty spot.
This dress is super cute . It does run a tad smaller than other dresses from the brand by about 1/2 size . The quality is as expected. It’s a poly spandex type material with sequins sewn onto the dress. They aren’t glued and don’t fall off .Durability wise - it will hold up longer bc the sequins are securely sewn. The zipper is a bit trickier than other dresses by the brand . It works - but I’m not sure if it’s bc the dress is smaller - but zipper harder to zip . It’s not a high quality zipper - but not a cheap terrible one either .Versatility wise - you could add a denim jacket and wear to a casual party or bar or you could dress this up to make it more elegant and wear to a cocktail party . Length hit me about finger tips . So mid - mini lengthI tried on without foundation wear ( Spanx) so you can see the natural hug of the dress. I do suggest foundation wear. I really like the dress and recommend for anyone wanting something a bit extra . I don’t have a perfect body and found it flattering/ considering that .Price is amazing for the quality of sewn onto sequins . The material and zipper are mid grade but that drives it up where you cannot tell. Looks more expensive. Recommend for anyone needing a fun party dress, bachelorette dress, high school homecoming, or to just wear out bc you want to . It’s every bit as lovely in person. I only deducted a star bc the zipper and sizing a bit small . The color story and sparkle are amazing tho !!
Absolutely love this sequin adorned slip style mini dress with spaghetti straps! It is so amazing. The sequin detailing is phenomenal. The sequins are small and petite in size, so the dress does not at all look gaudy or tacky like some sequined dresses. The ombré ocean-themed colors of deep navy, aqua blue, and royal blue, and splashes of purple are amazing. This is my favorite color palette. It reminds me of a mermaid! I honestly might wear this for Halloween and pair it with fishscale tights and go as a mermaid because it’s too perfect. I will definitely be wearing this as a party dress too, not just a Halloween costume, because the dress is versatile and can be styled in a variety of ways, from chic and sexy night out to a themed party outfit, etc. It’s great.The dress, as others have noted, runs slightly small but the dress still is mostly true to size.
